Zanasi & Partners

Zanasi & Partners is a research and advisory company leader in Europe in the field of security and defence. Incorporated in Italy and France and active internationally, the company can rely on multiannual know-how in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity/defence, big data analytics (data/text mining and social media analysis), strategic forecasting and border control. The variegated team of the company, gathering experts with technical (IT engineers, physicist, etc.) and socio-political background, manages to successfully perform a wide range of activities, from formulation of policy recommendations to software design. Over the past fifteen years, Z&P has participated in more than 30 research projects under the European Framework Programme (FP7, H2020, PADR, EDIDP, ISF, CIPS, ISAC). The projects address a variety of disciplines related to the defence and security sectors, from intelligence and cybersecurity to strategic technology foresight, border control and critical infrastructure protection.

Institutul Intercultural Timisoara

The Intercultural Institute Timisoara (IIT) is an organization with educational, cultural, civic and scientific activity, without political goals, that promotes intercultural values, active citizenship, social inclusion and respect for human rights. Established in 1992 with the support of local authorities and the Council of Europe, IIT is developing projects for a wide range of beneficiaries in Romania and abroad, focused on: intercultural education, civic education, Holocaust education and human rights education; media monitoring and stereotype deconstruction; civil society development actions at local, national and international level; social inclusion of minorities – especially focused on Roma; integration of migrants. IIT belongs to several European networks focused on education and works with a wide range of education professionals in various EU countries.

TECOMS

Tecoms is a consulting, research and solution providing company in the fields of information technology and security. With regard to the aspects of legal advice, the main focus is on data protection and privacy law. Privacy law compliance consultancy involves analysis of data collection information, data processing notification, third parties and transnational data transfers, active and passive access to data exercise procedures, data processing and storage security.

Tecoms has multi-year experience in developing and deploying hardware and software solutions for data collection and analysis for the intelligence industry. Specifically, in the software sector, Tecoms distributes in Italy leading solutions law enforcement and intelligence.

Hochschule Für Den Öffentlichen Dienst in Bayern

CEPOLIS is the research institute of the University of Applied Sciences for the Bavarian Police. The University trains all future leading personell of the Bavarian Police. It is located in Fürstenfeldbruck, Kastl and Sulzbach-Rosenberg. The inter-disciplinary research team of CEPOLIS examines various domains relevant for policing including cybercrime, radicalisation, extremism, terrorism among others. Security research for and via the police strengthens everyday networking in police practice with training and further education, in other words integrating theory and practice. The research team of the HfoeD provides scientific knowledge on relevant topics in the field (i.e. security research, crime prevention or crime research) to police or institutions of the security structure and aids in the design of further training courses and seminars and the mediation of contacts. In addition, the research team supports police and security authorities by providing scientific services in solving day-to-day problems.
